We have been designing Budapest-themed t-shirts, posters, and souvenirs for almost a decade. The popularity of the collection is unbroken, but we don't admire it either: we also love the capital because it is always able to show something new and exciting.
In the hustle and bustle, however, we sometimes long for the tranquility of nature. We chose our beach holidays on Balaton as inspiration - our childhood memories include the large sandcastles, wading in shallow water; we also like sailing and hiking as adults.
We have selected the raw materials in this spirit: old sails and used jeans. For the leather details, we received leftovers from Mandragora design - we are very happy with the offer, as it reduced their waste, and they match our accessories beautifully, it was wonderful to work with such beautiful leathers.
When designing the samples, we strove for simplicity. The silhouettes of sailboats swaying on the waves are echoed on the posters and T-shirts, the red inscription "BALATON" and the contours of the lake unmistakably identify the Hungarian sea.
It is extremely important for us that not only our raw materials but also our production processes are sustainable. We screened the patterns onto the supports by hand with water-based paint in our own studio, so each piece has artistic value and is slightly different.
We are really looking forward to the good weather to show these beautiful new things to Balaton, we hope you will like them too!
