RETRO TILE PATTERN
DESIGNED BY: ZITA MAJOROS
Following Patterns series brings to life the hidden treasures and decorative elements of our city. The facades of individual buildings, manhole covers, or entrance tiles and cement slabs inspired the creator, who now draws our attention to the uniqueness of small details. Zita Majoros has been a part of the city for quite some time now, including the VII. draws inspiration from various aspects of the district. In addition to the manhole covers - like jewels scattered in public squares and streets - he was motivated by the playful patterns of the downtown turn-of-the-century houses and entrance tiles. He continues to create in a peculiar and mainly characteristic style, using worn geometric elements. Scratches, abrasions and dirt stains are an integral part of both our homes and our jobs. The series presents us with an aesthetic experience, but at the same time makes a call to us: let's walk with open eyes and see the beauty in the hitherto unnoticed.
