ILLUSTRATED MAP OF THE JEWISH QUARTER OF BUDAPEST
The well-known Jewish quarter of Erzsébetváros was once considered the cultural, religious, social and commercial center of Jews living in Budapest. In 1944, it became a center of terror in the blink of an eye; Tens of thousands of Jews were settled in the large ghetto surrounded by high wooden fences during World War II. The area of the former ghetto is once again bustling and lively; you can freely enter and walk around the ruin pubs, synagogues, restaurants and attractions.
The events of the past did not disappear without a trace, but became a significant part of the present. This is what makes the Jewish quarter, which served as the theme of one of our latest collections, so special. A subjective map, graphics and postcards in English were created, which pay tribute to perhaps the most visited places of the 7th district from a new approach. A Jewish saying dear to us says: words should have weight, not numbers: let the pieces of the Jewish Quarter collection speak for themselves!
