What is Printa?
We are a Budapest-based sustainable lifestyle brand that is highly engaged in making a wide range of eco-friendly, useful and designer items. Most of our products are made from local re/upcycled materials and by hand. Our serigraph studio is doing silkscreen printing on paper, textile and wood to make each piece a unique one.
Do you have retail stores?
Yes, but only in Hungary. We have partherships with the National Opera House of Budapest and with Spirit Hotel (Sárvár). Temporary partners are Projekt Showroom and Ajándék Terminál. We have only one Printa store in Budapest, Hungary, but we are also accessible at our online shop. Feel free to look around, place your order or ask questions.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard and Maestro or you can pay via PayPal, too.
Where do you ship to?
We ship to almost every country in the world.
What does shipping cost?
Just add the items to your cart and select your country from the list to get a shipping price. Average prices are 5 EUR within Hungary and 15 EUR abroad. If you decide to pick your order up at the store, we charge nothing of course.
How long does shipping take? What shipping methods do you use?
Currently all orders are shipped via Magyar Posta Zrt. Please allow 2-4 business days for orders to be processed after your purchase is complete. We also contact you by e-mail if needed to give you ample information about your order’s status.

Can I track my order?
Once your order is shipped, you will receive a notification via our webshop with your personal tracking ID and a tracking link as well. Once the package starts its trip, the tracking link should show its place and current status.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your return policy?
We are 100% satisfied if you feel the same regarding your Printa purchase. And so, items in new condition can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay for the shipping costs for returning your item and prior e-mail correspondence is a prerequisite to start the return processes. Please also note that original shipping charges are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Clothing and textiles
How does your clothing fit?
All our sizes follow the European standard chart. Should there be any difference to the standard sizing we indicate it under each webshop item (e.g. oversized).
How should I care for the clothes and textiles I purchase from Printa?
As many of our clothes and home décor items are adorned with a silkscreen printed design, it is important to follow some simple care instructions. Namely the following: wash at 30℃/ 86F, iron at medium temperature, do not bleach, do not tumble dry.
What type of printing process is used on your clothing and other textiles?
All of our clothes and textiles that are decorated with a pattern are silkscreen printed with water-based colours, which is an environmentally friendly way of printing and leaves a softer print feel than plastisol. It is more durable and the most eco-conscious way of printing, so you can be sure that our products are made sustainably and with good care.
Will the printing on the clothes fade?
We use high quality water-based inks to produce the softest printing possible. Some of the printing may slightly fade after multiple washes.
Do you manufacture your products in-house?
While we do all our design in-house, we don’t do our own manufacturing in every respect. We upcycle pre-consumer cotton waste, use cotton canvas or tencel and sew everything locally. We also have a partner in Germany, called Continental Clothing, and purchase T-shirts, tote bags, sweatshirts and hoodies from their site. The company is highly focused on social responsibility (making clothes in India), sustainable manufacturing, carbon footprint reduction and garment quality.
Can you notify me when a product is back in stock?
Yes. Please send us an e-mail to email@example.com if you see that something is out of stock and we’ll make sure to notify you once we have new pieces in stock. You can also pre-order the wanted item. Please also send us a message if you saw a product at our Budapest store or on a social media page that is not available at the moment in our webshop. We’ll try to do our best to have that delivered to you the quickest possible.
What kind of leather do you use?
We upcycle leather leftovers, such as leather jackets, skirts and trousers to make completely new bags from them. This means that each and every item we craft is slightly different to the other; this makes the pieces so unique and one of a kind. How should I care for the bag?
Tote bags, shopper bags and gym bags are washable just as all the clothes we sell. Please follow our care instructions: wash at 30℃/ 86F, iron at medium temperature, do not bleach, do not tumble dry. Leather bags that have a water-repellent polyester lining can be cleaned by hand, but leather needs some additional care. Please use a cleanser or a moisturizer, which is specially made for leather.
Are the bags waterproof?
Leather -due to its permeable nature- is never truly 100% waterproof. It has some water-resistance, but too much water would cause the leather to become wet and it may get damaged. There are treatments that can help make leather more water-resistant. Take good care of your leather bag to prolong its lifespan.
Do you print all the graphics by hand?
Yes. In our local silkscreen studio we make all the graphics by hand, which makes these prints even more special.
Do you make only limited edition graphics?
Most of our graphics are limited edition, which means we only screen-print 40 of them. They are all numbered and signed by the artist. We do however have graphics that are not strictly limited to 40 pieces, but it’s important to mention that those prints are also crafted by hand and so the amount produced in total is not a considerable quantity.
How do you ship graphics?
We ship graphics in a paper tube. The prints are sold without the frame and are rolled up face-in to give it the protection it deserves.
I want to sell Printa products in my shop. Do you sell wholesale?
Printa is open to collaborations. We want to make sure that Printa is a good fit for the companies we work with and that our products are represented well. If you would like more information, please contact us at email@example.com to discuss the possibilities of a future partnership.
Can I hire you to do custom design or development work for my or my company?
Yes. Depending on our studio’s availability and workload, we do take external orders and outside design work for silkscreen printing. If you have a project in mind, please send us an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. We give custom-made price offers from minimum 30 pieces (prints, T-shirts, etc.) and provide all the materials to have the project successfully accomplished. If you have a design in mind, please share all the details to better understand your ideas. If you need some help though with the design or any other aspect of your order, we are more than happy to help.
I’d like to design for Printa, do you hire outside designers?
Sorry, we don’t accept any outside design submissions. We design and then craft everything within Printa, but do hope you find the perfect place to display your products.
