Oleksandra Balytska
He has Ukrainian roots. He discovered his passion for illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. For him, this medium is a defining tool for storytelling and expressing emotions. He creates his narrative illustrations digitally, in which playing with proportions, fine and soft lines are complemented by dreamlike color gradients. He is also inspired by the aesthetics of Art Deco, modernism, and retro comics and children's books. His work has appeared in The New York Times, The Atlantic, and Refinery29, among others. Since 2023, he has been teaching illustration at the Projector design school and currently lives in Boroszló.
