Kriszta Szakos (ESZKA) and Zita Majoros (Printa), two talented designers who are connected not only by long-standing friendship, but also by similar ways of thinking and development paths.
“ Our friendship is full of memorable events, like the time we managed to annoy a taxi driver so much that he kicked us out of his car. More seriously, we were always there for each other in both emotional and professional difficulties, constantly supporting and helping each other. We drew inspiration and learning from each other, which made our bond even closer, ” says Zita .
Kriszta creates in her family's knitting shop, while Zita realizes her designs in the screen printing workshop of Printa. Combining the restrained color scheme of Printa and the free use of color of ESZKA, the two brands were presented in a joint project, where Kriszta and Zita themselves appeared as models.
In this collaboration, Kriszta, using her stylist experience, selected unique pieces from her own collection that fit perfectly into the world of Printa. These pieces can now be found in Printa stores. Printa's screen-printed patterned pants, recycled jeans and tops are complemented by coats and tunics from ESZKA's colorful, vibrant knit collection.
Speaking of the ESZKA brand and Kriszta Szakos, Kriszta launched her brand in 2004, which is mostly focused on She is known for her patterned knitwear and colorful knitted jackets. Kriszta's products are typically unique and rarely mass-produced . She sees her brand and products as a reflection of her personal self, where her varied style moods and interests directly influence the design process. This results in diverse and varied collections that are uniquely impressive with their dynamism, cacophony of colors and orgy of patterns. Kriszta identifies herself primarily as a visual artist and costume designer, who also works with colors and graphic design. She draws inspiration from many sources, including graphic art, nature, and different cultures such as Morocco and Portugal. In her designs, she emphasizes the representation of characters and moods, as well as the tension between colors and patterns. Like Zita, Kriszta also approaches fashion in a sustainable way, using yarns that include recycled cotton from Germany and organic raw materials from controlled farming.
The ESZKA collection includes various knitted products such as coats, sweaters, skirts, dresses and accessories. The brand is unique due to its dynamic color scheme and its own designed patterns.
The photoshoot took place in Kriszta’s home, a creative, green oasis where her personal items mingle with her designs, and where she smuggles in some Printa items, creating the unique atmosphere that characterizes both brands.
