The Fülöpház sand dunes of the Kiskunság National Park are located in the central part of one of the largest sand areas in Central Europe. The Kiskunság dune region was formed from river sand sediments from the ancient Danube and was shaped by the wind. The constantly migrating sand dunes are now the only ones left in Central Europe.
